The preparation and application of the polyaniline/polydopamine Janus sphere

Abstract：The polyaniline/polydopamine microspheres were successfully prepared combining the preparation and function features of polyaniline and polydopamine by template method. After the template etching and chemical modification of polydopamine, the N-dodecyl mercaptan modified hollow polyaniline /polydopamine Janus sphere was prepared. The lateral polyaniline showed hydrophilic properties, while the inboard N-dodecyl mercaptan modified layer exhibited of hydrophobic characteristics. The appearance, structure, composition and characteristics of the Janus sphere were tested by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and fluorescence microscope test. The results showed modified polyaniline /polydopamine hollow sphere had the Janus structure and had the potential applications in oil /water separation.
