Abstract:The distribution characteristics of the cleat were measured by the compass in the field. The distribution characteristics of palaeotectonic stress field in danning-jixian area were analyzed by means of the equatorial projection method. The results show that the area of Danning-Jixian county mainly experienced the ancient tectonic movement of Yanshan and Xishan. The tectonic stress field of Yanshan period is the most developed in the research area, the maximum compressive stress direction is north west-south east, the average yield is127 ∠13°, and the minimum principal stress axis is 35∠8°. The maximum compressive stress direction of the stress field in Xishan period is north north east and south south west, the average azimuth of the maximum principal stress axis is 43∠8°, and the minimum principal stress axis is 131∠7°. The anticline and synclinal axis of the study area are mainly north-east or north north east, and the main stress direction is north west west-south south east.
