Abstract：After experimental parameter test and field observation , the paper analyzed the characteristics of gas occurrence and emission:The content of coal seam gas is low with poor gas permeability and long gas re-leasing time.Combining with characteristics of exploitation scheme and roadway layout , the reason why gas exceeding the limit in mining face in the upper corner is that adopting "U"type ventilation system lead to re-circulation zone in the upper corner and gas accumulation too much in the goaf .According to the theoretical a-nalysis and field observation , we came up with "U set U"type instead of the "U"type ventilation system to solve the problem above and gained good results .
