Abstract：First, development of the concept of Internet of things was introduced , and the understanding of va-rious concepts of Internet of things was put forward.Then the architecture of Internet of things was discussed from two aspects:whole function aspect and key technical aspect.A summary was made on current applica-tions of Internet of things , and a example of Internet of things applied on shear safety was gave out .
