The Mechanism of Reinforcement and Parameter Determination of the Integrated Coal beside the Roadway in Large Cross - Section along Goal

Abstract：Under the deep mining conditions of fully mechanized caving face, roadway support and mainte-nance along goal is difficult, especially in large cross - section along goaf, which support problem is particu-larly acute. In this paper, a combination method of bolt, metal mesh and long anchor cable to reinforce the in-tegrated coal beside the roadway is proposed to solve the problem of large range failure and serious bulging of the integrated coal beside the roadway under the deep mining conditions of fully mechanized caving face in large cross - section along goal. The mechanism of reinforcement is analyzed. The design and control strategies of the combination method are put forward and then the effectiveness of this reinforcement method is demon-strated by field application.
