Investigation and Analysis of College Mathematics Learning in NCIST

Abstract：The senior middle school mathematics in China has taken the new course standard since 2004, while the textbook used in teaching college mathematics is compiled on the basis of the previous senior middle school mathematics and the teaching contents are far away from those of the senior middle school mathematics. The research group makes an investigation and analysis on college students’learning of mathematics in NCIST after the new course reform has been carried out about senior middle school mathematics.It is found that the discrepancy between senior middle school mathematics and higher mathematics in teaching contents increases, in a certain degree,the difficulty of learning higher mathematics,resulting in students’learning interest and enthusiasm reduced.This paper,based on the investigation and analysis,intends to offer some help for col-lege mathematics teaching and learning,and puts forwards some suggestions on the transition from senior mid-dle school mathematics teaching to college mathematics teaching.
