Practice of Mining Technique by Passing Through Empty Drifton Fully Mechanized Caving Face in Thick Coal Seam

Abstract：In order to effectively solve the problem on safety mining technology of Chian passing through empty drift on fully mechanized caving face faced by HanJawa Coal Mine and prevent the happening of roof fall acci-dent during backstopping,this paper presents a set of technical safety measures which includes setting up a support by building wood crib to laying artifical roof at working face on Anchor Craning Beam in empty drift, using long bar as a base,slanting the working face,decreasing height of backstopping and caving face stand processing sliding advance of the support under pressure in advance,to control the deformation of surrounding rocks in empty drift and ensure the safety backstopping of passing through empty drift on fully mechanized ca-ving face,according to analyze the location of empty drift and the influence to backstopping caving face coming from cross -section factors.
