Abstract:In view of the low efficiency and high cost of traditional methods in expansive soil distribution exploration, the resistivity sounding combined with drilling verification was used to study and apply the expansive soil distribution near Ziyang Mountain area in southwest Shandong province. The results show that the original curve of apparent resistivity of expansive soil distribution is generally H-type or HK type.In the one-dimensional inversion resistivity model of resistivity sounding, the resistivity value of expansive soil is generally 12~15Ω·m,which is different from the resistivity value of sandy clay and me-dium fine sand. The measured resistivity sounding data in the study area were interpreted and analyzed by geophysical exploration, and the three-dimensional distribution characteristics of expansive soil were fi-nally obtained. The coincidence rate of geophysical inference and interpretation results with drilling verifi-cation and disclosure reached more than 70%.Resistivity sounding is rarely used in expansive soil distribu-tion exploration. This method can be popularized and used for reference in the related work of expansive soil distribution exploration.
