Abstract:The distribution of the P‐wave travel time residuals and the Ms Magnitude deviation of the Nan‐chang station were analyzed based on the 1024 earthquakes whose epicenter distances are between 0° and 40° .The results show that the P‐wave travel time residuals were obviously affected by the azimuth angle and magnitude .The travel time residuals is up to 2 .8 second within the Northeast azimuth ,while the trav‐el time residuals meet the minimum of 1 .1 second at the southeast direction .The magnitude deviation is al‐so obviously influenced by the azimuth angle . The magnitude obtained from Nanchang Station in the southeast and the northeast direction is about 0 .12 lower than that of the national network ,while in the southwest is about 0 .08 higher than that of the national network .There is no obvious relationship between the focal depth and the P wave travel time residuals and the magnitude deviation .
