Abstract：Based on petroleum geophysical prospecting data ,this paper studies the seismic tectonics and its activity in northern area of Shangdong province .We get new results on w hether the Wudi‐Yidu fault ex‐tended to Dongying depression and the relationship between the seismic activity characteristics and earth‐quake controlling tectonics in Huimin‐Zhucheng seismic belt .This is important for understanding the eval‐uation of seismic risks and research of earthquake prediction in northern area of Shandong .
