Abstract：This article proposes an idea of two‐dimensional strain observation instrument design from the principle of the structure ,elaborates on the overall structure ,the function and parameter of the main parts as well as . The instrument is characterized for synchronous observation on the vertical stress and the transverse stress to obtain the change of the stress field in an area ,so as to provide more reliable reference information for earthquake prediction.
