Application of Geological Radar in Island Geological Survey

Abstract：Geological radar detection technology is advancing toward the direction of higher detection accuracy ,wider detection range and more accurate interpretation .It shows an unprecedented broad prospect for development and has been widely applied in geological surveys such as engineering ,environment ,geological disaster ,and so on , and therefore gets more and more attention of people .With the development of islands and the construction of islands'infrastructure ,the engineering exploration of islands , the quality evaluation of projects ,the influence of geological hazards and the assessment of dangers is coming more and more .Based on the advantages in geological radar detec-tion and the analyses of research aspects in the island development and geological inves-tigations ,and combined with the exploration examples such as landslide monitoring ,ge-ological disasters and shallow fault on the islands ,the applications of geological radar to the island engineering and the island geological survey are discussed .
