Applications of DGPS Sounding Technique in Submarine Pipeline Engineering
Abstract：The basic positioning principle of Differential Global Position System (DGPS) and the hardware components of DGPS sounding system are presented. This sounding technique has been applied in the submarine pipeline project in the Meizhou Bay of Fujian, leading to a great improvement in measuring accuracy and working efficiency. This practice has indicated that the DGPS sounding technique will be gradually adopted in the submarine pipeline engineering. However, it is a process of progressive and continuous completion and improvement. It is believed that in the future this technique must play a role for the submarine pipeline engineering in the coastal areas of China.
