Progress in Methods for Calculating Wave Loads on Breakwater Crown Wall in Deep Water
Abstract：Recent progress in the studies of breaking waves,wave force distribution,and wave loads on a sloping breakwater crown wall is summarized,and the calculating methods for the wave loads on the wall are discussed.It is shown in the present studies that there is some difference between the wave force distribution on the wall and the traditional homongeneous distribution.Therefore it is necessary to further study the suitability for a wall in deep water,although the calculating method is already suggested in Harbour Hydrographic Specification.
