Study and Prediction for Sedimentation Due to Water Intaking in Semi-closed Port Basin
Abstract：The 2-D numerical model and the semi-theoritical and semi-experiential formula are used to calculate the sedimental distributions and changes due to water intaking from the semi-closed port basin.As it is shown in the numerical calculations,the sedimental distribtuion is relatively homongeneous in the basin in the per-water-intaking,and the sedimentation rate becomes dependent upon the current field in the post-water-intaking.It is learnt from the experiential formulum results that the sedimentation increases at a rate of 6 mm/a with a contribution rate of 14% due to the water intaking.
