A Complex Network Theory Application Research for Production Process in a Discrete Manufacturing Floor

Abstract：At present, the complex networks theory has been deeply investigated. However, its application and development trend in the field of production are not clear. First of all, a framework for applying com-plex network theory in discrete manufacturing process is proposed. Then, the research advance of product family/product design, parts manufacturing, assembly and performance evaluation are reviewed through examining the relevant literature at home and abroad. Compared with the other modeling methods such as Petri nets, this research can provide a new perspective and idea through introducing complex network theo-ry into manufacturing system. Finally, future research direction is discussed.
