Abstract:For crude oil operations in a refinery , often a charging tank is dedicated to a single distiller in distiller feeding .However , in many cases , there are not enough charging tanks for feeding distillers in this way.To solve this problem , a charging tank may feed two distillers simultaneously for some time .In other words, a hybrid oil feeding mode by combining these two modes is used .With a hybrid oil feeding mode , the short-term scheduling problem of crude oil operations is very complicated .Such a scheduling problem under a hybrid oil feeding mode based on a control theory perspective is discussed .The system is modeled by a Petri net. With this model, the effect of the number of charging tanks and distillers , the capacity of charging tanks , and the flow rate of the pipeline on the schedule are analyzed and schedulability conditions are derived .An industrial case study is presented to verify the obtained results .
