Abstract:To implement lean production in an engineer-to-order enterprise, first, VSM/A is used to draw the current value stream map of the rotor production in a HT turbine factory , finding out the non-value-added time in the production .Secondly , by introducing lean production ideas such as Kan-ban pull system and balanced production and JIT logistics , the non-value-added time is reduced and a future value stream map is drawn. Finally, through the implementation of the program , the value-added time is reduced by 71 h, the non-value-added time shortened by 28 days, the distance reduced by 1 756 m, the value-added proportion increased by 4 .48%, which proves that using the value stream mapping technology to optimize the lean production in an engineer-to-order enterprise has good practical value .
