Comparison of Distribution Strategies for Production Lines in Stochastic Process

Abstract：Through studying the specific processes of material distribution of production lines , considering idling period caused by the stagnation of information and materials , and taking operating cost of distribution center into account , cost models of ration , regular and immediate distribution are respectively established applying the theory of stochastic process , and a quantitative analysis made for the optimal strategies of the three distribution forms .Moreover , with a case study , the three distribution methods are discussed from the perspective of optimal strategies and management condition , which proves that ration distribution is al-ways the best , and that in some special situations regular distribution or immediate distribution is the best . Thus a viable scientific basis for choosing the suitable distribution form in the actual operation is provided to enterprises.
