Abstract:Objective To explore the components of job competency for nutrition staff in grassroots disease control institutions and to develop a competency model for their roles. Methods A literature review and group discussions were initially conducted to construct a preliminary competency model.Subsequently,17 experts were invited to evaluate and revise the model using the Delphi method. Finally, the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)was employed to determine the weight of each item in the model. Results In the two rounds of Delphi expert consultations, the participation rates were 100%and 94.1%,and the au-thority coefficients were 0.911 and 0.912,respectively.The coordination coefficients for dimensions and items in the first round were 0.231 and 0.163,and in the second round, they were 0.157 and 0.211(both P<0.05).Ultimately,a competency model consisting of 5 dimensions and 41 items was constructed. Conclusion The competency model for nutrition staff in grass-roots disease control institutions, developed using the Delphi method and AHP,provides a reference for the training, selection, and assessment of nutrition staff in disease control systems.
