Abstract:With China's rapid transition into an aging society, advanced cancer patients face enormous decision-making challen-ges due to cognitive decline, ambiguous treatment preferences, and information asymmetry between doctors and patients. This article systematically reviews the conceptual evolution, core models, and application mechanisms of surrogate decision-making in patients with advanced cancer.In-depth analyses were performed on influencing factors such as family dynamics,doctor-pa-tient communication, societal influences, patient autonomy capacity, and personal values.Additionally,it evaluates the effec-tiveness of interventions including decision aids and interdisciplinary family conferences. The study aims to provide evidence-based insights for optimizing surrogate decision-making systems for advanced cancer patients, promoting clinical decision-mak-ing toward greater precision and patient-centeredness.
