Abstract:Objective This study systematically reviews research on hospice care interventions for psychological distress in ad-vanced cancer patients in China and globally.By integrating core elements such as intervention content, assessment tools, and outcome indicators,it thoroughly analyzes the current application of hospice care in alleviating psychological distress in this population, aiming to provide evidence-based guidance and theoretical support for optimizing hospice care strategies and impro-ving service systems. Methods Following scoping review methodology, literature on the efficacy of hospice care in mitigating psychological distress among advanced cancer patients was systematically retrieved from Chinese and international databases, including CNKI,VIP,Wanfang,CBM,PubMed,Web of Science,Embase, and Cochrane Library(From January 1,2014 to December 31,2024).Two researchers independently screened and extracted data, followed by analysis of the included studies. Results Nineteen studies(7 Chinese,12 English)were included.Hospice care primarily involves multidisciplinary team col-laboration to provide death education,end-of-life care, psychological support, symptom management, and daily life assistance.Outcome indicators included quality of life, psychological distress(e.g.,anxiety,depression,fear),and symptom burden. Conclusion Advanced cancer patients commonly experience psychological distress such as anxiety, fear, and depression, which hospice care effectively alleviates. However, existing studies lack personalized analyses of the root causes of psychological dis-tress,and the optimal timing for initiating hospice care remains unvalidated.Future research should clarify the ideal timing for hospice care implementation and develop evidence-based interventions tailored to individual influencing factors to better address psychological distress in this population.
