Abstract:Objective To assess the effectiveness of health management intervention in patients with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).Methods From January 2021 to June 2022,100 patients with OSA from our hospital were selected and allocated to a health management group(n=53)and a control group(n=47)based on their willingness to re-ceive health management. Both groups underwent sleep monitoring and questionnaires at baseline, with results recorded. The health management group received a 12-month health management intervention, while the control group did not. Results Before intervention,no significant differences were noted in apnea-hypopnea index(AHI),apnea time, apnea frequency, and LSaO2 between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the health management group had significantly lower AHI,apnea time, and apnea frequency, and higher LSaO2 than the control group(P<0.05).Before intervention,no sig-nificant differences were observed in Epworth Somnolence Scale(ESS)and Quebec Sleep Questionnaire(QSQ)scores be-tween the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the health management group had significantly lower ESS and QSQ scores than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Health management intervention is effective for patients with OS-AHS,markedly improving their clinical symptoms.
