Research progress on the effect of anesthetics on PND in cardiac surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass

Abstract:Perioperative neurocognitive disorder(PND)is a serious complication after cardiac surgery in patients undergoing Cardiopulmonary Bypass(CPB).The incidence of PND in cardiac surgery patients can be as high as 50%.Although anes-thetics are one of the important factors affecting PND in CPB cardiac surgery patients,the effects of different anesthetics on PND in CPB cardiac surgery patients are significantly different.This article reviews the effects of commonly used cardiovas-cular anesthesia drugs on PND in patients undergoing CPB cardiac surgery,and looks forward to the possible application prospects of new anesthesia drugs in the prevention and treatment of PND in patients undergoing cardiac surgery under CPB,in order to provide certain reference for anesthesia drugs in cardiac surgery under CPB.
