Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between serum levels of soluble T-cell immunoglobulin mucin-3(sTim-3),galectin-9(Gal-9),and interleukin-17(IL-17)and the degree of coronary stenosis in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD),as well as their predictive value for prognosis, aiming to provide a reference for the treatment and prognostic pre-diction of CHD patients. Methods A total of 182 CHD patients who visited the Yan'an People's Hospital from April 2020 to April 2022 were selected as the study participants and divided into three groups based on the Gensini score:mild stenosis group(n=49),moderate stenosis group(n=76),and severe stenosis group(n=57).Besides,patients were assigned to NYHA class Ⅰ group(m=32),NYHA class Ⅱ group(n=85),and NYHA class Ⅲ group(n=65)based on the New York Heart Association(NYHA)functional classification.Patients were assigned to a poor prognosis group(n=43)and a good prognosis group(n=139)following the prognosis. The serum levels of sTim-3,Gal-9,and IL-17 in patients with dif-ferent degrees of coronary stenosis,NYHA functional classifications, and prognoses were compared, and the correlation be-tween these indicators and the degree of coronary stenosis was analyzed,as well as their predictive value for patient progno-sis.Results The Gensini score and serum levels of sTim-3,Gal-9,and IL-17 in patients increased with the severity of coro-nary stenosis, and statistically significant differences were found in the Gensini score and serum levels of sTim-3,Gal-9,and IL-17 among patients with different degrees of coronary stenosis(P<0.05).The serum levels of sTim-3,Gal-9,and IL-17 in patients increased with the increase in NYHA functional classification, and statistically significant differences were found in the serum levels of sTim-3,Gal-9,and IL-17 among patients with different NYHA functional classifications(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the serum levels of sTim-3,Gal-9,and IL-17 in CHD patients were positively cor-related with the Gensini score(P<0.05).The serum levels of sTim-3,Gal-9,and IL-17 in the good prognosis group were significantly lower than those in the poor prognosis group(P<0.05).The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve a-nalysis indicated that the area under the ROC curve(AUC)for predicting the prognosis of CHD patients by serum levels of sTim-3,Gal-9,IL-17,and the combination of the three were 0.834,0.781,0.789,and 0.852,respectively(P<0.05).Conclusion The serum levels of sTim-3,Gal-9,and IL-17 in CHD patients increase with the severity of coronary stenosis and the increase in NYHA functional classification, which are highly expressed in patients with poor prognosis of CHD,which has certain predictive value for the prognosis of CHD patients, and the combined detection of the three has higher pre-dictive value.
