Abstract:Objective To observe the survival rate and occurrence of adverse reactions in patients with stage Ⅰ-Ⅱa cervical cancer who underwent postoperative pelvic field radiotherapy. Methods Thirty patients with stage Ⅰ-Ⅱa cervical cancer who underwent extensive radical hysterectomy plus pelvic lymph node dissection and had high to intermediate risk factors for tumor recurrence in our hospital from January 2017 to January 2018 were selected for this study. They received postoperative pelvic field radiotherapy, and their surviv-al rates and occurrence of adverse reactions were observed. Results Among the 30 patients, the 2-year survival rate and disease-free progression rate were 100.0%and 96.7%,respectively.All 30 patients tolerated the treatment well, with no grade 3 or higher ad-verse reactions in the rectum, urinary or reproductive tracts. Conclusion For patients with stage Ⅰ-Ⅱa cervical cancer who have poor prognostic factors and have undergone radical surgery, pelvic field radiotherapy can significantly reduce the risk of adverse reactions and raise the quality of life while ensuring efficacy.Compared with standard field irradiation used in our hospital and reported in the litera-ture for similar patients, pelvic field irradiation is clinically feasible.
