Abstract:Objective This study aims to explore the effect of mixed voice training on alleviating vocal fatigue in"dual-creden-tialed"nursing teachers, providing references for relevant interventions. Methods Fifty"dual-credentialed"nursing teach-ers from Fenyang College of Shanxi Medical University, who underwent physical examinations from April to June 2022,were selected as the research participants.According to a ratio of 3∶2,the research group consisted of 30 participants, while the control group 20 participants. The research group underwent an 8-week mixed voice training, while the control group received general vocal interventions, including silence and rest outside of working hours, for 8 weeks. All participants were evaluated using the Vocal Fatigue Index(VFI)and the Grade,Roughness,Breathiness,Asthenia, and Strain(GRBAS)scale for subjective vocal perception. Results At 4 and 8 weeks of intervention, the research group had signifi-cantly lower scores in terms of vocal fatigue and vocal avoidance compared to the control group(P<0.05).The research group also had significantly lower scores in terms of physical discomfort related to voice production compared to the control group(P<0.05).No statistically significant difference was found in voice rest and symptom improvement scores between the two groups(P>0.05).At 8 weeks of intervention, the research group had significantly lower scores in terms of vocal fatigue and vocal avoidance compared to both the 4-week intervention and pre-intervention periods(P<0.05).The research group also had significantly lower scores in terms of physical discomfort related to voice production compared to both the 4-week intervention and pre-intervention periods(P<0.05).The voice rest and symptom improvement scores of the research group were significantly higher than those of the pre-intervention period(P<0.05),but there was no statistically significant difference compared to the 4-week intervention period(P>0.05).At 4 weeks of intervention,no statistically significant difference was observed in subjective vocal perception scores(G,R,B)between the two groups(P>0.05).At 8 weeks of intervention,no statistically significant difference was noted in subjective vocal perception scores(G,R)between the two groups(P>0.05),but the research group had significantly lower scores in terms of subjective vocal perception(B)com-pared to the control group(P<0.05).At 8 weeks of intervention, the research group had significantly lower scores in sub-jective vocal perception(G,R,B)compared to both the 4-week intervention and pre-intervention periods(P<0.05).Con-clusion Mixed voice training can alleviate vocal fatigue in"dual-credentialed"nursing teachers and promote vocal cord re-covery.The longer the training duration, the more significant the intervention effect. It is recommended to evaluate the effect of mixed voice training after 8 weeks.
