Abstract:Objective This study aims to investigate the influencing factors and mechanisms of functional exercise compliance in patients with postoperative breast cancer to provide evidence for clinical treatment. Methods In total,270 patients with breast cancer were investigated by the general data questionnaire, health belief questionnaire of functional exercise, and com-pliance scale of functional exercise after operation.Univariate, multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis were used to identify the influencing factors of functional exercise compliance in patients after breast cancer operation. Results The score of the functional exercise compliance scale was(39.23±5.23)points,which was in the middle level.Patients with different education levels and working status had statistically significant differences in postoperative functional exercise compliance(P<0.05).All subscales of health beliefs of postoperative functional exercise in breast cancer patients were cor-related with functional exercise compliance(P<0.05);the necessity, benefit, disorder and harm of postoperative functional exercise were weakly correlated with postoperative compliance in these patients(r=-0.280~0.342,P<0.05).The self-efficacy of postoperative functional exercise was moderately correlated with postoperative compliance in these patients(r=0.487,P<0.05).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the benefits, obstacles, harms, necessity and self-efficacy of postoperative functional exercise had an effect on the compliance of functional exercise in patients with postoperative breast cancer(P<0.05).The results of path analyses indicated that the standardized path coefficients of all subscales, except the hazard subscale,of postoperative functional exercise were significant(P<0.05),and the necessity of postoperative functional exercise(β=0.127)and self-efficacy(β=0.372)significantly predicted postoperative functional ex-ercise compliance(P<0.05).Self-efficacy of postoperative functional exercise was a mediating variable in predicting post-operative functional compliance with the benefits(β=0.286)and barriers(β=-0.240)of postoperative functional exer-cise.The benefit of postoperative functional exercise in breast cancer patients has the greatest impact on functional exercise compliance. Conclusion Increasing the belief in the necessity and self-efficacy of postoperative functional exercise in patients with breast cancer can raise the compliance of functional exercise.
