Application value of general nursing intervention in nursing of senile peptic ulcer

Abstract：Objective T his paper aims to explore the value of general practice nursing intervention in the nursing of elderly patients with peptic ulcer,so as to provide evidence for clinical treatment.Methods A total of 130 elderly patients with peptic ulcers admitted to the 958th Hospital of PLA from January 2021 to May 2022 were selected as the study participants.They were assigned to the study group(n=65)and the control group(n=65)using a random number table.Patients in the control group received routine nursing intervention;patients in the study group received general practice nursing intervention on the basis of routine nursing.The quality of life was compared between the two groups before and after nursing(after nursing means at discharge).Besides,complications during the intervention were compared between the groups.The degree of satisfaction with nursing was also compared between the groups.Results Before nursing,no significant difference was observed in the physical functioning,bodily pain,social functioning,and role emotional of the 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey(SF-36)between the two groups(P＞0.05).After nursing,the scores of physical functioning,bodily pain,social functioning,and role emotional in the SF-36 in the two groups were significantly increased,and the study group was signifi-cantly higher than the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence rate of complications in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The overall degree of satisfaction with nursing in the study group was sig-nificantly higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of general nursing intervention in the nursing of elderly patients with peptic ulcers can raise the quality of life of patients,reduce the incidence of complica-tions,and increase the degree of satisfaction with nursing,justifying a wider application.
