Zhou s Technique Massage combined with acupoint therapy for postpartum agalactia disease of liver-qi stagnation syndrome

Abstract:Objective This study aimed to investigate the clinical effect of Zhou's Technique Massage combined with acupoint therapy on postpartum agalactia of liver-qi stagnation syndrome.Methods From January to December 2021,120 patients with postpartum agalactia of liver-qi stagnation syndrome were randomly assigned to the control group,massage group,and acupoint group,with 40 cases in each group.Patients in the control group received individualized breastfeeding guidance;patients in the massage group,Zhou's Technique Massage daily based on the control group,and patients in the acupoint group,acupoint therapy based on the massage group.All patients were continuously treated for 7 days.The clinical effica-cy,lactation index and clinical symptom score before and after treatment were compared among the three groups.Results No significant difference was observed in the scores of lactation indexes before treatment between the three groups(P>0.05);the scores of lactation indexes after treatment in the three groups were significantly decreased as compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).A significant difference was detected in the scores of lactation indexes after treatment among the three groups(P<0.05);the pairwise comparison results showed that the scores of lactation indexes after treatment in the massage group and acupoint group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).No significant difference was observed in the scores of lactation indexes after treatment between the massage group and acupoint group(P>0.05).No significant difference was found in the clinical symptom scores before treatment between the three groups(P>0.05);the clinical symptom scores after treatment in the three groups were significantly lower than those before treat-ment(P<0.05).The clinical symptom scores after treatment in the three groups were significantly different(P<0.05).The pairwise comparison results showed that the clinical symptom scores after treatment in the massage group and the acu-point group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);the clinical symptom scores after treatment in the massage group and the acupoint group were not significantly different(P>0.05).The clinical efficacy of the massage group and the acupoint group was superior to that of the control group,with statistical significance(Z=-5.283,-6.787;P<0.001);the clinical efficacy of the acupoint group was superior to that of the massage group,with statistical significance(Z=-2.051,P=0.045).Conclusion Zhou's Technique Massage combined with acupoint therapy is superior to simple massage in the treatment of postpartum agalactia of liver-qi stagnation syndrome,which is conducive to improving the lacta-tion status and relieving the clinical symptoms of liver-qi stagnation.
