Whole-process nursing care for refractory toenail deformity in an older patient with diabetes mellitus:A case report

Abstract:Diabetic foot is one of the most severe complications of diabetes mellitus.Dystrophic nails represent a significant high-risk factor for diabetic foot,and implementing effective interventions for their treatment and subsequent management is crucial for preventing the onset of diabetic foot ulcers.This article reports a case of an elderly diabetic patient with dystrophic nails.Following targeted treatment and whole-process nursing care,the dystrophic nails were successfully and completely removed,and the associated wounds healed satisfactorily.This case is reported to share the full-process treatment and nursing experience,with the aim of providing a reference for clinical practice.
