Abstract:Objective To explore the application of the multidisciplinary joint training mode in the in-hospital prevention and control of venous thromboembolism(VTE).Methods A multidisciplinary VTE training team was established within the hospital, consisting of teaching backbones from the Medical Affairs Department,Nursing Department,Vascular Surgery Department,Pharmacy Department, and Rehabilitation Medicine Department.VTE-related training was carried out for various levels and types of personnel in all departments of the hospital.A total of 705 nurses in the inpatient department of Zhongshan People's Hospital from February to April 2023 were selected. The mastery level of VTE-related knowledge among nurses, the implementation rate of VTE prophylaxis measures for inpatients, and the incidence rate of VTE were compared before and after the multidisciplinary joint training. Results After the training and guidance, the mastery level of VTE-related knowledge among nursing staff increased from 30.14±4.90 to 31.71±4.50(P<0.01).The qualification rate of basic VTE prevention measures increased from 82.60%to 99.00%,for mechanical prophylaxis, from 85.70%to 97.06%,for pharmacological prophylaxis, from 87.59%to 100.00%,and for VTE nursing quality management, from 89.55%to 100.00%.The in-hospital incidence rate of VTE decreased from 0.05%to 0.02%.Conclusions Multidisciplinary joint training can systematically enhance nurses'knowledge of VTE and guide to the correct implementation of prevention measures, thereby significantly reducing the incidence of VTE in hospitalized patients.
