Abstract:Automated peritoneal dialysis(APD)is less efficient than other renal replacement therapy(RRT)modalities in terms of ultrafiltration and sodium clearance, which may exacerbate volume problems in patients with acute kidney injury(AKI).Therefore, proper APD volume management is crucial for the recovery of AKI patients. This paper systematically reviews the relevant measures and existing problems of volume management in AKI patients treated with APD.It explores the limitations within the process of volume management in depth and proposes potential improvements,so as to provide a theoretical basis and practical guidance for future volume interventions, with a view to improving the clinical outcomes and prognosis of patients.
