Abstract:Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of a nursing mode based on Broken Windows Theory in patients with intracranial aneurysms. Methods A total of 86 patients from January 2023 to December 2024 treated for intracranial aneurysms at Tongji Hospital affiliated with Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, were selected and randomly assigned to a control group(n=43,receiving conventional nursing)and a study group(n=43,receiving care based on Broken Windows Theory).Post-intervention outcomes, including post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD),neurological function, cognitive function, and incidence of complications were compared. Results After the intervention, the national institutes of health stroke scale(NIHSS)and PTSD self-rating scale scores were lower in the study group than those in the control group. The incidence of complications was also lower than that of the control group. The score of the mini mental state examination(MMSE)was higher in the study group than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Implementing the nursing model based on Broken Windows Theory in patients with intracranial aneurysms can alleviate traumatic stress, promote neurological and cognitive function recovery, and reduce the incidence of complications.
