Nursing care of a patient with hereditary hypofibrinogenemia undergoing MED operation:A case report

Abstract:To summarize the key nursing care strategies for a patient with hereditary hypofibrinogenemia who underwent posterior microendoscopic discectomy(MED)and spinal canal decompression.A prospective nursing model was adopted in the whole perioperative period.The key points of nursing care included the establishment of a prospective nursing team,early identification of clinical changes,symptomatic treatment,multidisciplinary team(MDT),emergency scenario simulation,and complication prevention.The patient successfully treated surgically operation and returned to the ward for observation after surgery.The wound drain was removed on postoperative day three,and the patient experienced significant improvement in lower back and bilateral lower limb pain.The patient was discharged 11 days after surgery.
