Influence of music therapy based on quality control circle on psychological state and hope level of patients with malignant tumors

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of music therapy based on quality control circle on the psychological state and hope level of patients with malignant tumors.Methods A total of 141 patients diagnosed with malignant tumor and hospitalized in the oncology department of Panyu Maternal and Child Care Service Centre of Guangzhou from February 2023 to September 2023 were selected.They were randomly divided into control group(n=70)and intervention group(n=71).The control group received conventional psychological intervention,and the intervention group received music therapy based on quality control circle.The scores of generalized anxiety scale(GAD-7),health questionnaire depression scale(PHQ-9),herth hope scale(HHI)and psychological distress thermometer(DT)before and after intervention were compared.Results The scores of GAD-7,PHQ-9 and DT of the intervention group were lower than those of the control group and the HHI score was higher than that of the control group(all P<0.05).After QCC activities,the average scores of eight aspects(problem-solving ability,personal quality,communication ability,sense of responsibility,self-confidence,team spirit,quality control techniques,and enthusiasm)of the members of each circle were significantly higher than before.Conclusions The music therapy intervention based on quality control circle can alleviate anxiety and depression,reduce the degree of psychological pain and increase the level of hope in patients with malignant tumor during hospitalization.
