Application of press needle combined with Chinese medicine hot package in the prevention of nausea and vomiting caused by postoperative chemotherapy after breast cancer surgery

Abstract：Objective To explore the preventive effect of pressing needle combined with Chinese medicine hot package on nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy after breast cancer surgery.Methods A total of 80 patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy for breast cancer in Breast Department of Guilin Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2022 to December 2023 were selected.They were randomly divided into conventional group and experimental group by random number table method,with 40 patients in each group.On the basis of routine nursing,the experimental group was given the combination of acupuncture and hot package intervention.The occurrence degree of nausea and vomiting,appetite grade,Karnofsky function status,total effective rate of nursing,and quality of life were observed.Results TheⅣdegree of nausea and vomiting in experimental group was lower than that in conventional group(P＜0.05),the proportion of grade 0 in appetite classification in experimental group was higher than that in conventional group,the proportion of grade Ⅱ and Ⅲ in appetite classification in experimental group was lower than that in conventional group(P＜0.05),and the score of Karnofsky functional status in experimental group was higher than that in conventional group(P＜0.05).The total effective rate of experimental group was higher than that of conventional group(P＜0.05).The score of quality of life in experimental group was higher than that of conventional group(P＜0.05).Conclusions The intervention of press needle combined with traditional Chinese medicine hot package can effectively prevent nausea and vomiting caused by postoperative chemotherapy after breast cancer surgery.It is easy to conduct and can effectively improve patients'appetite,physical function and tolerance treatment ability,and improve the quality of life of breast cancer patients.
