The application of"ideological and political education"in endocrine science related courses with internal medicine

Abstract：Objective To explore the"ideological and political elements"courses related to endocrine science,so as to integrate ideological and political education throughout the entire education and teaching process,and cultivate comprehensive medical talents with a strong sense of humanistic literacy.Methods Integrating ideological and political elements into classroom instruction,utilizing emerging teaching methods such as online platforms to enhance faculty development,systematically identifying ideological and political elements within the curriculum,meticulously designing teaching plans,innovating teaching methods,and establishing a comprehensive evaluation system.Beginning in October 2023,courses related to endocrine science were taught to students from Classes 1 to 4 of Clinical Medicine in Grade 2022 at Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.A total of 126 students participated in a survey to assess the effectiveness of the teaching approach.Results The survey showed that 96.03%(121/126)of students have a positive attitude towards the integration of ideological and political education into their professional courses,89.69%(113/126)found the classroom effects of this integration of be favorable,84.92%(107/126)believed that the teaching content was highly compatible with ideological and political education in courses,85.71%(108/126)believed that the integration contributed to their understanding of professional knowledge and 90.48%(114/126)believed that ideological and political education in courses has a certain impact on moral education level.Conclusions The application of ideological and political education in the teaching of courses related to endocrine science within internal medicineis of considerable significance.This study offers valuable insights and recommendations for the development of ideological and political education in medical professional courses across medical schools in China.
