Experience of treatment and nursing in 10 cases of surgical combined with biological agents for hidradenitis suppurativa

Abstract：Objective To explore the key points in the treatment and nursing of hidradenitis suppurativa using a combination of surgery and biological agents.Methods Ten patients diagnosed with hidradenitis suppurativa who underwent combined treatment of surgery and biological agents at Hospital for Skin Diseases,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences from October 2021 to October 2023 were selected.The key aspects of treatment and nursing points were summarized as follows:surgical techniques such as incision and drainage,debridement,and removal of the top were utilized,followed by postoperative biologic therapy.Preoperative preparation involved comprehensive assessments and tailored psychological care.Postoperative care included management of biological agent injection was carried out,providing detailed guidance on lifestyle and diet.Results All patients exhibited stable vital signs postoperatively without severe infections.Follow up results showed that nine patients experienced good wound healing with no recurrence,while one patient had a recurrence,which was resolved with a second surgery,after which no further recurrence was observed.Conclusions The combination of surgery and biological agents in the treatment of moderate to severe hidradenitis suppurativa,along with comprehensive psychological,medication,dietary,and lifestyle care,resulted in favorable treatment outcomes and a low recurrence rate.It is worth further clinical applicaiton and promotion.
