Abstract:Objective To identify the risk factors of catheter-related infections in patients with Totally Implanted Venous Access Port(TIVAP)by a Meta-analysis.Methods Computerized search was performed for studies on the risk factors of catheter-related infections in patients with TIVAP in the CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP CBM,PubMed,Web of science and Embase database. The quality assessment and data extraction were performed, and Meta-analysis was performed by Review Manager 5.3.Results A total of 173 literatures were retrieved, and 17 were included for Meta-analysis.The total sample size of the literatures included 9518 cases. The incidence rate of catheter-related infection was from 2.2% to 50% at the infusion port of complete tumor implantation.Diabetes mellitus(OR=5.02,95% CI:3.42-7.36),parenteral nutrition support(OR=2.22,95% CI:1.59-3.10)and palliative care(OR=3.57,95% CI:1.86-6.84)were risk factors for TIVAP infection in cancer patients. Conclusions There are many risk factors involved in TIVAP-related infection in cancer patients, and clinical nurses should identify risk factors related to complications of implantable infusion port catheter infection and precise clinical management,so as to improve the quality of life and outcome.
