Perioperative nursing care for a patient with ankylosing spondylitis undergoing MAKO robot-assisted total hip arthroplasty

Abstract：To summarize the perioperative nursing care experience of one patient with ankylosing spondylitis undergoing MAKO robot-assisted total hip arthroplasty.Perioperative care included psychological support,health education,and guidance on rehabilitation training.Intraoperatively,proper placement of the MAKO robot was ensured.Postoperative care involved position management,nutritional support for rapid recovery,multimodal pain management,wound drainage care,rehabilitation training,and complication prevention.The patient had good functional exercise and was discharged from hospital after treatment without complications on the 7th day post-surgery.It can be seen that total hip arthroplastyin patients with ankylosing spondylitis assisted by MAKO robot,combined with effective perioperative nursing care,such as psychological nursing,health education,drainage tube nursing,rehabilitation exercise can promote the recovery of patients.
