The status and influencing factors of oral nursing behavior in patients with periodontitis

Abstract：Objective To analyze the situation and influencing factors of oral nursing behavior of patients with periodontitis.Methods 208 patients with periodontitis admitted to the hospital from March 2021 to December 2022 were selected and investigated by Oral Care Behavior Questionnaire,the oral care behavior level of patients with different backgrounds were compared,and factors affecting the oral care behavior level of patients with periodontitis were analyzed.Results The average score of oral nursing behavior questionnaire of 208 patients with periodontitis was(8.79±2.61),among which 107 patients had bad oral nursing behaviors,accounting for 51.44%;Logistic regression analysis showed that education level below high school,low level of self-efficacy,high pressure perception and negative coping were the influencing factors of oral nursing behavior of patients with periodontitis(OR＞1,P＜0.05).Conclusions The oral nursing behavior of patients with periodontitis was poor,which was affected by education level,self-efficacy level,pressure perception and coping style.Therefore,a targeted nursing plan could be made to improve patients' oral nursing behavior.
