Abstract:Vulnerable carotid plaques and cerebral small vessel disease(CSVD)are both significant etiologies of ischemic stroke, and they are closely interrelated.Imaging modalities, including ultrasound,CT angiography(CTA),and MR high-resolution vessel wall imaging(HR-VWI),enable the assessment of various vulnerable plaque characteristics. This review focuses on the correlation between vulnerable plaques and CSVD,aiming to provide a theoretical basis for further research and clinical application.
