Application progress of synthetic MRI technology in the diagnosis and treatment of rectal cancer

Abstract：Synthetic MRI(SyMRI)is a novel quantitative relaxation technique based on multidynamic multiple echo(MDME)sequence.It can simultaneously generate various quantitative relaxation maps and contrast-weighted images from a single scan.SyMRI enables noninvasive diagnosis of rectal cancer,offering not only assess tumor pathologic staging and high-risk factors related to prognosis,but also monitor the response to neoadjuvant therapy.It provides key imaging support for the formulation of individualized clinical treatment plans.This review summarizes the application progress of synthetic MRI in the diagnosis and treatment of rectal cancer.
