Abstract:Time-dependent diffusion MRI(TDD-MRI)is a novel diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI)technique that primarily utilizes oscillating gradient spin echo(OGSE)sequences combined with various mathematical models to obtain parameters, such as cell density, cell diameter(d),intracellular volume fraction(Vin),and extracellular diffusion coefficient(Dex). It can be used for predicting the histological grading of gliomas, evaluating genetics and microstructures, assessing treatment efficacy, and aiding in differential diagnosis. This article briefly introduces the fundamental principles of TDD-MRI and reviews its research progress in preoperative assessment and treatment monitoring of gliomas.
