Abstract:Ischemic stroke is a common clinical condition with a high risk of recurrence.MR high-resolution vessel wall imaging(HR-VWI)can non-invasively predict the recurrence of ischemic stroke. It not only aids in evaluating the etiology of stroke but also assesses plaque characteristics based on intracranial atherosclerotic plaque location, plaque burden, plaque steepness, and plaque enhancement.Additionally,it evaluates vascular features through vascular remodeling pattern and hemodynamics analysis.By constructing relevant radiomics models,HR-VWI provides a comprehensive assessment of recurrence risk in ischemic stroke patients, offering imaging-based evidence to guide clinical treatment. This review summarizes the research progress in using HR-VWI to predict the risk of ischemic stroke recurrence.
