Applications and perspective of photon-counting coronary CT angiography

Abstract：Coronary CT angiography(CCTA)is currently recommended by clinical guidelines as a first-line diagnostic method for patients with stable chest pain.The recently introduced photon-counting detector CT(PCD-CT),which offers ultra-high resolution,has advantages over traditional CT,including higher spatial resolution and lower ionizing radiation.PCD-CT shows great potential in the evaluation of coronary artery disease.This paper reviews the technical characteristics of PCD-CT and its clinical application and advancements in CCTA.
