Standing at the forefront:striving to improve the clinical research and application of photon counting CT in China

Abstract：Photon-counting CT(PCD-CT),compared to conventional CT,offers higher spatial resolution,lower radiation dose,reduced use of iodine contrast agents,and superior image quality,and it has gradually been introduced into clinical practice.PCD-CT demonstrates advantages across various body systems,particularly in the detailed imaging of coronary artery stenosis,plaque composition,and stents.By reviewing foreign literature and current domestic exploration of PCD-CT applications,the prospects for its clinical research and application in China are discussed.
