Abstract:Obstructive sleep apnea(OSA)is a highly prevalent sleep-disordered breathing disease that commonly leads to cognitive impairment and various neurological changes.Currently, multiple MRI techniques have been applied to reveal neuroimaging changes in the cerebellum in OSA patients. These techniques include voxel-based morphometry(VBM),arterial spin labeling(ASL),resting-state functional MRI(rs-fMRI),diffusion tensor imaging(DTI),and radiomics approaches. These methods have made it feasible to elucidate the neurobiological mechanisms of the cerebellum in OSA patients. This paper reviews the research progress on abnormalities in the structure and function of the cerebellum in OSA patients using various MRI modalities.
