Abstract:There are various types of nail diseases, and making an accurate diagnosis based on clinical manifestations alone can be challenging.High-frequency ultrasound can clearly depict the anatomical structure of the nails and their surrounding tissues, while Doppler ultrasound can provide blood flow information, making it an important auxiliary examination method. This paper reviews the value and progress of high-frequency ultrasound in early diagnosis, differential diagnosis, judgment of disease activity and prognosis, assistance in clinical treatment decision-making,and follow-up evaluation of efficacy of nail inflammatory lesions, nail tumors,tumor-like lesions, ischemic nail disease, traumatic nail disease, and clubbed finger.
